1. Cruise indicator
2. SET indicator
Cruise Control allows the Hyundai Accent to maintain a constant driving speed above 20 mph (30 km/h) without continuously depressing the accelerator pedal.
WARNING
Take the following precautions:
NOTICE
During cruise-speed driving in a manual transmission Hyundai Accent, do not shift into neutral without depressing the clutch pedal. Doing so may cause engine over-revving. If this occurs, depress the clutch pedal or press the Cruise Control ON/OFF button.
Information

1. Press the CRUISE button on the steering wheel to turn the system ON. The cruise indicator will illuminate.
2. Accelerate to the desired speed, which must be higher than 20 mph (30 km/h).
Information - Manual transmission
For manual transmission vehicles, depress the brake pedal at least once after starting the engine before setting Cruise Control.

3. Push the toggle switch down (SET-) and release it. The SET indicator light will illuminate.
4. Release the accelerator pedal.
Information
On steep slopes, the vehicle may slightly slow down or speed up when driving uphill or downhill. This is normal Cruise Control behavior.
Small addition: For best results, use Cruise Control in your Hyundai Accent on long, steady highway drives where traffic flow is consistent and road conditions are predictable.
Use these steps to raise your set speed smoothly and safely while using Cruise Control in your Hyundai Accent:

Lower the set speed gradually to maintain comfort and stability in your Hyundai Accent, especially on wet or uneven roads:

Depress the accelerator pedal. When you take your foot off the accelerator, the Hyundai Accent will return to the previously set Cruise Control speed, as long as the system has not been canceled.
If you push the toggle switch down (SET-) at the increased speed, Cruise Control will store and maintain the increased speed, which is useful for quick passes when conditions allow.
Any of the following actions will cancel Cruise Control operation in your Hyundai Accent (the SET indicator will go out):

Information
Each of the above actions will cancel Cruise Control operation (the "SET" indicator in the instrument cluster will go off), but only pressing the CRUISE button will turn the system off. If you wish to resume Cruise Control operation, push the toggle switch up (RES+) located on your steering wheel. You will return to your previously preset speed, unless the system was turned off using the CRUISE button.

Push the toggle switch up (RES+). If the vehicle speed is over 20 mph (30 km/h), the Hyundai Accent will resume the preset speed.

Hyundai Accent (HC) (2017 - 2022) Owner's Manual: Cylinder Head
- Removal • Use Fender cover to avoid damaging painted surfaces. • To avoid damaging the cylinder head, wait until the engine coolant temperature drops below normal temperature before removing it. • When handling a metal gasket, take care not to fold the gasket or damage the contact surface of the gasket. • To avoid damage, unplug the wiring connectors carefully while holding the connector portion.Hyundai Accent (HC) (2017 - 2022) Owner's Manual: Head Restraints
The vehicle's front and rear seats have adjustable head restraints. The head restraints provide comfort for passengers, but more importantly they are designed to help protect passengers from whiplash and other neck and spinal injuries during an accident, especially in a rear impact collision. Correct head restraint height and distance are an important part of overall Hyundai Accent occupant safety.
