Repair procedures

- Replacement

   

• Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

   

• When removing with a flat - tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.

1.Open the fuel filler door (A).

2.Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the fuel filler door (A).

Tightening torque : 3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)

3.To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   

• Make sure the fuel filler door locks / unlocks and opens / closes properly.

- Description The SMART KEY system is a system that allows the user to access and operate a vehicle in a very convenient way. To access the vehicle, no traditional key or remote control unit is needed.The user carries a SMART KEY FOB which does not require any conscious actions by the user (e.g. operate a RKE button). The SMART KEY system is triggered by pressing a push button in the door handle.

- Removal 1.Remove the air cleaner assembly.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner") 2.Remove the battery and battery tray.(Refer to Body Electrical System - "Battery") 3.Drain the coolant.(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Coolant") 4.Disconnect the position switch connector (A). 5.Disconnect the driven pully speed sensor connector (B).
