- Inspection

1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2.Open the sunglass case cover from the overhead console and remove the 2 screws holding the overhead console. Disconnect the switch connector and Map lamp connector, and then remove the overhead console lamp (A).

3.Check for continuity between the terminals.

- General Service Information Protection of the VehicleAlways be sure to cover fenders, seats, and floor areas prior to beginning work. • The support rod must be inserted into the hole near the edge of the hood whenever you inspect the engine compartment to prevent the hood from falling and causing possible injury. • Make sure that the support rod has been released prior to closing the hood.

Cowl cross bar assembly - Replacement • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries. • When removing with a flat - tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. • Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
