Repair procedures

- Replacement

   

• When removing the fender, wrap protective tape around a screwdriver or remover not to damage components

• Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries

   

• When removing the clips, use a clip remover.

1.Remove the front bumper.(Refer to Front Bumper - "Front Bumper Assembly")

2.Remove the head lamps.(Refer to Body Electrical System - "Head Lamps")

3.Loosen the front wheel guard mounting screws and pin - type retainers.

4.Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the delta garnish (A).

5.Remove the front bumper side mounthing bracket (A) after loosening the screws.

6.After loosening the mounting bolts, remove the fender assembly (A).

7.To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   

• Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.

• Replace any damaged clips (or pin - type retainers).

- Removal     • Use Fender cover to avoid damaging painted surfaces. • To avoid damaging the cylinder head, wait until the engine coolant temperature drops below normal temperature before removing it. • When handling a metal gasket, take care not to fold the gasket or damage the contact surface of the gasket. • To avoid damage, unplug the wiring connectors carefully while holding the connector portion.
