Information
Make sure that all warning lights are OFF after starting the engine. If any light remains ON, it indicates a condition that requires attention.

This warning light illuminates:

This warning light informs the driver that the seat belt is not fastened.

This warning light illuminates:
If the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop the vehicle.
2. With the engine stopped, immediately check the brake fluid level and add fluid as required (refer to "Brake Fluid" in chapter 7). After adding fluid, inspect all brake components for leaks. If a leak is found, the warning light remains on, or braking performance is reduced, do not continue driving. Have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Dual-diagonal braking system
Your vehicle is equipped with a dual-diagonal braking system. This design ensures that braking capability remains available on two wheels even if one hydraulic circuit fails.
With only one braking circuit operating, increased pedal travel and greater pedal pressure will be required to stop the vehicle.
Stopping distances will also be longer when only part of the braking system is functioning.
If the brakes fail while driving, shift to a lower gear to use engine braking and bring the vehicle to a stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
WARNING
Driving the vehicle with the Parking Brake & Brake Fluid Warning Light illuminated is dangerous. If this warning light turns on with the parking brake released, it indicates a low brake fluid level.
In this situation, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer immediately.

This warning light illuminates:

These two warning lights illuminate simultaneously while driving:
• When the ABS and conventional brake system may not be operating normally.
In this case, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
WARNING
When both the ABS Warning Light and the Parking Brake & Brake Fluid Warning Light are illuminated, the brake system may not function correctly, and unexpected braking behavior can occur during sudden stops.
Avoid high-speed driving and abrupt braking.
Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
Information - Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) System Warning Light
When the ABS Warning Light is illuminated, or when both the ABS and Parking Brake & Brake Fluid Warning Lights are on, the speedometer, odometer, or tripmeter may not function properly. In addition, the EPS Warning Light may illuminate and steering effort may change.
In this situation, have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.

This warning light illuminates:

This warning light is part of the engine management and emission monitoring system in the Hyundai Accent and is designed to alert the driver to potential issues affecting emissions or engine operation.
This warning light illuminates:
NOTICE
NOTICE
If the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) turns on, damage to the catalytic converter is possible, which may result in reduced engine performance or loss of power.
In this case, have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.

If this warning light illuminates while the engine is running, it indicates that the battery is not being charged by the electrical system. Immediately turn OFF all unnecessary electrical accessories. Avoid using electrically operated components such as power windows, audio systems, or seat heaters. Keep the engine running only as needed to reach a safe location.
Have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible to prevent battery discharge and possible vehicle shutdown.

This warning light illuminates when engine oil pressure drops below the safe operating level.
If the engine oil pressure is low:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop the vehicle.
2. Turn the engine off and immediately check the engine oil level (refer to “Engine Oil” in chapter 7). If the oil level is low, add oil as required.
If the warning light remains illuminated after adding oil, or if oil is not available, have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer immediately. Continued operation with this warning light on may result in severe engine damage or complete engine failure.
Information
If engine oil pressure decreases due to insufficient engine oil or related conditions, the Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light will illuminate. At the same time, the enhanced engine protection system will activate and limit engine power. Once normal oil pressure is restored, both the warning light and the engine protection system will turn off.
NOTICE

This warning light illuminates when the fuel level in the tank becomes critically low.
Add fuel as soon as possible to avoid unexpected vehicle stoppage.
NOTICE
Driving the Hyundai Accent with the Low Fuel Level Warning Light illuminated or with the fuel gauge below “E” may cause engine misfire and can damage the catalytic converter (if equipped).

This warning light illuminates:
• When the washer fluid level in the reservoir is nearly empty.
Refill the washer fluid reservoir promptly to maintain clear windshield visibility in all driving conditions.

This warning light illuminates when one or more doors are not fully closed or latched securely.

This warning light illuminates when the trunk lid is not completely closed.

This indicator light illuminates when a malfunction or abnormal condition is detected in one or more vehicle systems.
• Possible related systems include:
- Low washer fluid level (if equipped)
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) malfunction
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) malfunction (if equipped)
To identify the specific cause, check the detailed message shown on the LCD display.

This warning light illuminates:
This warning light remains ON after blinking for approximately 60 seconds, or repeatedly blinks ON and OFF at 3-second intervals:
• When there is a malfunction in the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
In this case, have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
WARNING
Safe Stopping

This indicator light illuminates:

This indicator light illuminates:

This indicator light illuminates:
• When the vehicle recognizes the immobilizer transponder in the key with the ignition switch in the ON position.
- At this stage, the engine can be started.
- The indicator light turns off after the engine starts.
This indicator light blinks:
• When a malfunction is detected in the immobilizer system.
In this case, have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

This indicator light illuminates for up to 30 seconds:
• When the vehicle detects the smart key inside the vehicle with the Engine Start/Stop button in the ACC or ON position.
- At this time, the engine can be started.
- The indicator light turns off after the engine starts.
This indicator light blinks briefly:
• When the smart key is not detected inside the vehicle.
- In this condition, the engine cannot be started.
This indicator light illuminates for 2 seconds and then turns off:
• If the smart key is inside the vehicle and the Engine Start/Stop button is ON, but the system cannot detect the smart key.
In this case, have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
This indicator light blinks:
• When the battery voltage of the smart key is low.
- The engine cannot be started in the usual way; however, the engine can be started by pressing the Engine Start/Stop button with the smart key (refer to “Starting the Engine” in chapter 5).
• When there is a malfunction in the immobilizer system.
In this case, have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

This indicator light blinks:
• Whenever you activate the turn signals using the stalk/lever, the Hyundai Accent cluster indicator will flash to confirm the selected direction.
If any of the following occur, the turn signal circuit or a related component may not be operating correctly.
- The turn signal indicator light illuminates but does not blink (stays steadily lit)
- The turn signal indicator light blinks rapidly (often indicating increased load or a bulb/circuit concern)
- The turn signal indicator light does not illuminate at all
If any of these conditions are present, have the Hyundai Accent inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer to ensure proper signaling and safe road communication.
